It’s been revealed that by using Some custom launchers we can access the hidden settings menu on motorola smartphones that are being reserved for root users. But in this case there’s no need of any rooting, instead we just have to install a custom launcher either Nova or Apex launcher.
This works on Motorola smartphones Moto G (1st gen) and Moto G 2014 ( 2nd Gen) , Moto X (1st Gen) and Moto X 2014 (2nd Gen), and also on the low budget Motorola smartphone Moto E.
This Won’t Work On Android Lollipop.
The Hidden Settins Menu revealed Qualcomm settings that are not available for General Users. These Settings allows users to Enable OTG Mode (On The Go), USB Mass Storage, Dim Screen, Stay On Plugged (Screen On While Charging), USB remote Wakeup, In-Call Music, Sensors, Data Monitoring and a lot.

How To Access Hidden Settings Menu In Motorola Moto X, Moto G, Moto E:
- Install Apex Launcher or Nova Launcher on Your Motorola Smartphone
- Long Press on your Homescreen which brings the Launcher options window.
- Tap on the Shortcuts option.
- Now Choose the Activites option from the shortcuts list. This will give you the list of activites and you have to select “com.qualcomm.qualcommsettings” from those, which gives you a drop down menu.
- Select Qualcomm Settings
While using the same method and same launchers, there is no hidden menu revealed on Nexus phones which implies that this is an issue particularly with motorola smartphones. While top sites like Android Pit called this as a Security Flaw in Motorola Smartphones Moto E, X and G. Motorola Mobility responded that it was not a security flaw and those settings were intentionally hidden programatically as they are not for normal / General users. It needs some advanced knowledge to deal with that configuration Menu. Motorola recommends that none of these settings should be changed as they may affect on the normal operation of the Appliance.
