Apple Announced New Ipad Pro – Specs, pricing, what’s new?

Apple Unveiled Ipad Pro , the biggest of all the IOS devices on 9th September Apple Event with some surprising accessories.

Display:  12.9 Inches Retina Display

CPU : A9X – 3rd Generation 64 bit chip offers 2x memory bandwidth of A8X, 2x Faster Storage Performance. A9X is 1.8x faster than the A8X in the Air 2. Apple Claims that the IPad Pro Offers Desktop Performance. IPAD pro offers 22X Cpu performance than original IPAD.

GPU:  “console-class” GPU, 2x graphics performance for Console class performance , 360x GPU perf than orignal IPAD.

Performance : Apple Claims that, iPad Pro is fater than 80 percent of the PCs that shipped in the past six months, and graphics are faster than 90 percent of those PCs.

Camera : 8 Megapixel i-Sight Camera

Touch ID: Improved Touch ID (With IOS 9 Upgrade)

Battery Life:  10-hour battery life.

Speakers : Four speakers.

Dimensions:  Width is same as Air, 6.9mm thick compared to 6.1mm for the Air 2.

Weight : 1.57 pounds. Slightly heavier than first iPad.

Keyboard :

Surprisingly Apple Announced a smart keyboard and a styles namely called “APPLE PENCIL” as the accessories of Ipad Pro. They say, “Sometimes you want the convenience of a physical keyboard”.  There’s a new connector on the side of the iPad Pro called the Smart Connecter, it carries power and data to the keyboard

Though It’s a case, it’s very much like a Microsoft Surface.  (The iPad Surface Pro. Lol)

Stylus : Apple Pencil :

The Apple Stylus , Named as the Apple Pencil, an accessory for Apple Ipad Pro.

Highly responsive sensors built into the tip of Apple Pencil sensor pressure, tilt, and stroke. Its unique tip signature allows it to be used simultaneously with your finger.

I wonder , this is pure contradiction to Steve Job’s ideas. I still remember steve Jobs asking the audience “who needs a stylus?” during the original iphone launch.

However the Apple Pencil is not just a competition but also seems like a replica to Microsoft Surface Pen.

Ipad Pro Pricing :

Space Gray, gold, silver. Starts at $799 and goes to $1079.

Apple Pencil is $99 and Smart Keyboard is $169, all available in November.

At the End , iPad Pro with keyboard and pencil costs: $1,079 + $99 + $169 = $1,347.
